Travel Vaccinations
Hereford Medical Group is now offering a limited number of travel consultations on a first come first served basis.
We have limited availability for these appointments and would recommend that patients who wish to speak to a travel nurse book their appointment in good time for their holiday.
Our practice nurses are available by appointment to offer medical advice regarding travel, and to administer the following travel vaccinations where appropriate.
- polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
- typhoid
- hepatitis A
- cholera
Please telephone reception to book an appointment.
Do plan ahead!
We require at least 6 weeks’ notice before you travel to ensure that there is sufficient time for you to be seen and obtain the correct advice. If you travelling sooner than this, then we are not able to guarantee that you can be seen.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
If we are unable to offer you an appointment in time for your travel, then there are other places that offer travel advice and vaccinations. Please note that entry on this list is not an endorsement of the clinic by Hereford Medical Group.

Not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS and HMG are only able to offer the travel vaccinations that are listed above.
