  • Finalists in the HSJ Digital Awards 2025: We are thrilled to announce that Hereford Medical Group was a finalist in the prestigious HSJ Digital Awards 2025. This recognition was awarded for our pioneering work in rolling out Total Digital Triage, which has significantly enhanced patient access and streamlined our healthcare services. This approach has set a benchmark in digital healthcare solutions, and we are honoured to be acknowledged among the best in the industry.
  • Practice Finance Manager of the Year 2024: Our Finance Manager was named the winner of the Practice Finance Manager of the Year at the 2024 PMA Awards. This recognition celebrates excellence in health and social care finance, and highlights Hayley’s outstanding dedication and impact. The awards ceremony took place in October 2024, supported by headline sponsor BCS.
  • Armed Forces Covenant – Bronze Award: In 2024, Hereford Medical Group proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant, showcasing our commitment to supporting veterans, their spouses, and families. By joining the Defence Relationship Management’s Employer Recognition Scheme, we pledged to support the defence community. In October 2024, we were honoured with the Bronze Award, recognising our dedication to these efforts.
  • Safeguarding Team Celebrated: HMG’s Safeguarding Officer, was shortlisted for the General Practice Awards in recognition of the incredible support that she gives to system partners in dealing with safeguarding concerns. The award ceremony took place in London on the 8th December 2023.
  • Improvements to Support Processing Blood Test Results: We Introduced new software (GPAutomate) to support the processing of ‘normal’ blood tests. This includes an SMS message to the patient to let them know that their result is normal. This improves consistency and also frees up GP time to concentrate on those results that require further attention.
  • LGBTQ+ Resources: During the year we developed a detailed resource page on our website for Transgender patients (seen HERE)Alongside this information is a dedicated page on our internal intranet to assist clinicians in supporting patients. LGBTQ+ healthcare is one of the HMG Primary Care Network’s identified health inequalities.
  • Creating Collaborative Opportunities: Hereford Medical Groups PCN Clinical lead for Enhancing Health in Care Homes, developed and hosted a ‘Living Well in Later Life’ conference for health and social care colleagues. The conference was very well attended by a variety of healthcare colleagues, and really helped to highlight that our community professionals are committed to working more collaboratively in delivering a high standard of care.
  • Lowering Carbon Emissions: HMG has installed solar panels on the roofs of two surgery sites. Renewable energy is key to assisting the practice with lowering carbon emissions, achieving net zero and climate change objectives and reducing reliance on the national grid as well as saving money which can be redistributed to help provide updated and better services for our patients.
