About Us

  • Dedicated Urgent Care Wing - a large, experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team deliver on the day care to patients from a dedicated urgent care wing at Station Medical Centre making duty days a team effort at HMG.
  • We have a large team of Allied Health Professionals who deliver high quality care in a range of specialist, acute and routine care clinics.
  • Mental Health Nursing team provide acute support and long term follow up of our Mental Health patients.
  • Biomedical Scientists offer pathology support to our clinicians, and a dedicated Safeguarding Team help support with the referrals and management of our vulnerable patients.
  • Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers based at Station Medical Centre.
  • Specialist In-House Clinical Services: Dermatology, Minor Ops, Coils, Implants, Womens Health Clinics, Chronic Disease clinics, Nursing Home Specialist Teams, Home Visiting Service, Mental Health Nursing Team.

Newly Qualified GP?

Your Health and Wellbeing matters to us

We can offer an optional specialist support package for newly qualified GPs to help you with your transition from trainee to Practicing GP.

 

Workload

  • You will have the opportunity to work in a large, diverse, multidisciplinary team, with Clinical Support, Senior Management support and ongoing Admin support.
  • We can offer a flexible approach to ‘On-Call / Duty’ sessions in our dedicated Urgent Care wing, to build your experience, whilst working as part of our large, experienced, supportive Multidisciplinary Duty Team.
  • In Routine Care, you will have your own dedicated follow up appointments.
  • 15 minute routine GP appointments (this is our standard appointment length for GPs)
  • We have a large admin team providing administrative support to reduce GP Admin, and we can further support this by reducing your patient admin allocation to 50% in your first year, and an option for 75% in your second year.
 

Induction and Support

  • You will receive a full induction programme.
  • You will be supported via probationary reviews at one, three and six months, with the Partner lead for Salaried GPs.
  • A member of the HR Team, or the Occupational Health Nurse will meet with you informally to discuss how you’re settling in and your health and wellbeing.
  • You will be allocated a clinical mentor of your choice.
  • You’ll get to know how we operate, and attend Quality, Safeguarding and Palliative Care meetings.
  • Education and Promoting Excellence.
  • You will be allocated a clinical mentor of your choice.
  • We support Salaried GPs joining the GP Fellowship Programme.
  • The GP Partner lead for salaried GPs will discuss career development and progression and help explore opportunities available.
